Family Fun Festival at Tyendinaga P.S.

Thursday, February 17th, 2005

By Intelligencer Staff

There will be a juggler riding a unicycle, magic acts and a comedy routine at the Tyendinaga Public School when the Food for Learning committee holds its Family Fun Festival next month.

The event is a fundraiser for the school's Food for Learning program and will feature three world-class performers: Evans and Evans magic, Madame Buskerfly, and Canadian juggling champion Greg Tarlin.

Robert Evans has been performing for 20 years and has appeared on CBC, CTV and Global Television.

Madame Buskerfly combines a mix of physical comedy with circus skills, while Tarlin rides a six-foot high unicycle while juggling fire and performs a trick involving a spinning plate, juggling balls and a rotating tray.

Tickets cost $5 and are available at the Blessington Store at the corner of Blessington Road and Shannonville Road, Tyendinaga and Deseronto libraries, and at the door.

The event is being held March 4 at Tyendinaga Public school at 7 p.m.

For more information, visit the website http://www.blessington.ca or call the store at 968-2541 and ask for Bridget.

The Food for Learning program provides nutritious snacks for children who do not have enough nutrition in their lunches to properly function at school.
